Sean Bray’s “Wide Open Spaces” is a musical tapestry of memories, observations, feelings, events and people from his life. Sean’s intent was to approach the compositions as if it were a film score. The ten instrumental songs are a hybrid of genres and Sean approaches each one through the lens of an improviser.

Sean’s love of the guitar started at age 12 after seeing “The Buddy Holly Story”. Through his studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, private lessons with jazz greats John Abercrombie and Wayne Krantz, as well as further studies in Nashville with Telecaster wizards Brent Mason and Guthrie Trapp, Sean has developed a unique and sought after style. His love of jazz and country, and his ability to seamlessly blend these two genres has lead him to be regarded as one of Canada’s top guitar players. This year marks Sean’s 43rd year as a professional musician. “Wide Open Spaces” is his 7th studio album.
